Leadership Goals

College Ready New England is working to engage the governors and other leaders in the six states (representing business, government and education) to endorse and commit to a set of regional “Leadership Goals,” which include:

Goal I - High School Success

Increasing the number of high school graduates and GED recipients

Goal II - College Readiness

Increasing the number of high school graduates prepared for college and career success

Goal III - College Access

Increasing the number of learners enrolling in college, both two- and four-year

Goal IV - College Success

Increasing the number of college graduates, both two- and four-year

A shared commitment to the “Leadership Goals” will help build a sense of urgency in the region, among the public and decision-makers, regarding the critical role that expanding college success plays in the region’s economic competitiveness.

To support achievement, College Ready New England will assist the six states in gathering data to measure progress and in pursuing cutting-edge P-16 policies and programs to increase: K-12 success and graduation, college readiness, access and completion.
